1. Agreement and Scope of Work
By scheduling service with Winning Window Cleaning ("the Company"), the client ("the Client") agrees to
all terms and conditions outlined below. The Company agrees to provide window cleaning services which may include
exterior glass, interior glass, screens, tracks, sills, and frames, as specified in the Client's quote or work
order.
2. Site Preparation and Access
Clearance
The Client is responsible for ensuring clear access to all windows. All furniture, delicate items, window treatments,
and vehicles must be moved away from the work area prior to our arrival.
Obstructions
The Company will not move heavy furniture or handle fragile personal property. If a window is inaccessible, it will
be skipped, and the Client will still be charged the agreed-upon rate.
Pets and Water
The Client must secure all pets away from the work areas and provide the Company with access to a functioning, on-site
exterior water source.
3. Liability Limitations and Pre-Existing Damage
Tempered Glass
Tempered glass often contains microscopic fabricating debris baked into the surface during manufacturing. When cleaned,
this debris can dislodge and cause scratching. The Company uses standard, safe professional cleaning methods and is not
liable for scratches on tempered glass.
Pre-Existing Conditions
The Company is not responsible for pre-existing damage, including but not limited to: scratched glass, hard water
stains, oxidized frames, broken seals (foggy windows), rotting wood, loose mullions, brittle vintage glass, or flaking
paint.
Property Damage
While the Company exercises extreme care, we are not liable for incidental damage to poorly maintained window treatments
(such as brittle blinds) or items left in the immediate workspace.
4. Exclusions
Unless explicitly quoted in writing, our services do not include: removal of paint, stucco, concrete, or heavy
construction debris; removal of hard water stains; or handling of biohazards (such as wasp nests or excessive bird
droppings).
5. Payment Terms and Cancellations
Payments
Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of the service.
Late Fees
Invoices not paid within 7 days will incur a late fee of 5% per month.
Cancellations
The Client must provide at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 48
hours' notice, or instances where the Company arrives and is unable to access the property, will incur a
cancellation fee equal to 50% of the quoted service price.
6. Weather Policy
Safety First
The Company reserves the right to reschedule services at our sole discretion due to heavy rain, high winds, lightning, or
freezing temperatures that make work unsafe or ineffective.
Light Rain
We clean in light rain, as dirt causes spots, not rainwater. If the Client requests to reschedule due to light rain with
less than 48 hours' notice, standard cancellation fees apply.
Post-Service Weather
Once the service is completed to standard, the Company is not responsible for windows affected by subsequent weather events.
7. Insurance
The Company carries $2,000,000 in third-party liability insurance. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
8. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia.
